Film Schedule - Miss Geogiou

Filming schedule is vital to the production of our clip, especially when you are working with a group of people to make sure everyone knows exactly what to do for each separate shot of the sequence. This is also effective as we can plan our the timings for a certain scene, for example the start and the end scenes will be filmed on the same day as they link. This helps us to be more organised and efficient within the production of our opening sequence. It also benefits us when we are editing our chosen scenes for our opening sequence, it gives us an insight into the non diegetic sound we might use and what kind of editing method we would use to help create more tension, shock and suspense.

Together as a group, we followed most of our filming schedule except at the end where we had to change some of the scene to make sure it made more sense for the audience, however with only minor changes to the plot. We tried to do each scene in order to make sure there is no confusion and tried to stick to the plan for the various micro element of each shot. We decided to create the schedule to help us to plan ahead when are are going to be doing a certain scene; taking into account the time and making sure that we are organised with our times and that we are not having to postpone a scene and prolong the production.

  1. This demonstrates some understanding of what a filming schedule is and the benefits it has to a production. The table that you have included helps to demonstrate the group planning that has been undertaken.

Did you follow your plan or did you make any changes?
